Glenmede, a privately-held and independently owned investment and wealth management firm, has appointed Peter J Zuleba (pictured), III, CFA, as President of the company's institutional strategies business, Glenmede Investment Management LP (GIM).
A subsidiary of Glenmede, GIM was founded in 2007 to provide institutional clients, broker dealers, retail platforms and registered investment advisors with access to the division's institutional strategies and proprietary mutual funds. Consolidation of GIM's leadership beneath Zuleba is a reflection of the division's significant growth, commitment to its institutional clients and dedication to fostering top talent. Zuleba is a member of Glenmede's Management Committee and is Chair of the Investment Review Committee.
As President of GIM, Zuleba will oversee the research, trading and portfolio management of equity, fixed income, alternative and risk-management strategies. He will also be responsible for the division's sales, servicing and fund administration operations. Throughout his 11-year tenure at Glenmede, Zuleba has held a number of senior leadership roles, including Director of Investment Management, Head of Equity and Senior Portfolio Manager. He will continue as the co-portfolio manager for one of Glenmede's proprietary mutual funds and the firm's strategic growth strategy.
"GIM's commitment to fund management is evident in the consistent growth and strengthening of our offerings over the past several years," says Gordon B Fowler Jr (pictured), Glenmede's CEO and Chief Investment Officer. "Peter has been a driving force in GIM's growth and his leadership skills and proven track record well position him for his expanded responsibilities. With Peter at the helm, we're confident there will be continued innovation, stability and success for our clients."
In his new role, Zuleba will work closely with Mary Ann B Wirts, Chief Administrative Officer of the Sales, Servicing and Fund Administration division of GIM. In her more than 30 years at Glenmede, Wirts has held a variety of roles of increasingly responsibility and offers unparalleled expertise in the realm of investment professional oversight.
Zuleba joined Glenmede in 2004 following a more than 15-year career of senior investment positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co, where he also managed the company's Large Cap Growth Equity strategy. Zuleba earned his MBA from the University of Miami (1995) and his BS in Business Administration from the University of Delaware (1988). He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and the New York Society of Security Analysts.
