Related Topics

Seven2one Informationssysteme (Seven2one) is to assume the technical operation of The European Energy Exchange’s (EEX) Transparency Platform during the first quarter of 2019.

Seven2one has so far been in charge of software development.

EEX will continue to be the contractual partner for the reporting companies and market participants. Likewise, the service and contacts at EEX will remain unchanged.

“Having software development and technical operation as a one-stop shop solution enables us to speed up the implementation of new requirements resulting from regulatory changes,” says
Dr Christoph Schlenzig, Managing Director of Seven2one.

Dr Tobias Paulun (pictured), EEX Chief Strategy Officer, says: “Seven2one has supported the development of the platform as a service provider since 2009 and is also involved in its further development as an important partner. We are pleased to now be able to further expand our cooperation.”

In 2009, in cooperation with transmission system operators, EEX launched the transparency platform, publishing fundamental data from Germany and Austria with the aim of increasing transparency on the wholesale market. Over the last years, EEX has further developed the platform with a focus on fulfilling  publication and data reporting requirements under REMIT ((EU) No 1227/2011), the European Market Abuse Directive ((EU) No 596/2014) and the EU Transparency Regulation ((EU) No 543/2013). At present, almost 100 companies from 15 countries fulfil their regulatory reporting requirements via the Transparency Platform.
