Walleye Capital has appointed Eric Nolette, the former Head of Sector Data Analysts – Global Equities at rival multi-strategy hedge fund Citadel, as Director of Data and Insights for its equity long-short business, according to a report by Financial News.
The report cites unnamed sources familiar with the matter as confirming that Nolette will establish and lead a centralised data science team at Walleye held after taking up his new role on 7 October.
Nolette has been on gardening leave since September last year having spent over six years at Citadel, initially as Data Acquisition and Strategy Lead, a position he held between September 2018 and July 2020 before being promoted to his global equities data analytics role.
