Principal Global Investors (Europe) Ltd has appointed Steven Brown as Head of Wholesale Distribution in the UK. In this newly-created role, Brown will concentrate on building fund sales to private banks, fund of funds, wrap providers, bank platforms and other intermediaries.

In addition, he will also work with colleagues - notably those already marketing in Continental Europe and Scandinavia - with the goal of creating a seamless pan-European wholesale strategy. 

Prior to joining Principal, Brown was for 8 years an Overseas Business Development  Director for M&G Investments, spearheading sales and distribution throughout Asia, Latin America and the Middle East as well as managing relationships with the UK's largest retail distributors. In 2003 he was awarded 'Presenter of the Year' by Bankhall, the leading support services company for financial intermediaries.
