Gerald Chua, a Partner and Deputy Portfolio Manager at David Mercurio’s Singapore-based stock-picking hedge fund firm Lauro Asset Management, has joined multi-family office Kamet Capital as a Portfolio Manager, according to a report by Citywire Asia.
Chua spent six years at Kamen, where he co-managed the firm’s concentrated portfolio, focusing on deep fundamental research and active engagement, having joined as an Investment Analyst in July 2017 before being made Partner in January 2021.
According to Citywire Asia, Lauro Asset Management’s flagship long-short equities strategy has delivered positive annual absolute returns since inception in 2016.
