Wright named chief operating officer of State Street's UK-based investor services business
State Street Corporation has announced the appointment of Nick Wright as senior vice-president and chief operating officer of State Street's investment servicing business in the UK, Middle East and Africa.
Wright, who will be responsible for managing operations and infrastructure for State Street's investor services business in the region, was previously with the Investors Trust Europe business of Investors Financial Services, the acquisition of which State Street completed on July 2.
Wright, who will be based in London, will report to Michael Walsh, senior vice-president and managing director of State Street's investment servicing business for the UK, Middle East and Africa.
'Nick exemplifies the impressive talent that State Street gained with the acquisition of Investors Trust Europe,' said Walsh. 'His extensive industry experience and in-depth knowledge of investment servicing operations will help support our efforts toward continued growth in the region.'
At Investors Trust Europe, Wright was a managing director and head of the company's UK office, with responsibility for all aspects of the business including operational infrastructure and business growth. He was also a member of the company's senior management team.
Previously he was a senior vice-president with Northern Trust in London and Dublin with responsibility for the company's investment operations outsourcing business in Europe, following spells in management positions with Axa Investment Managers and National Mutual.
State Street, which had USD13trn in assets under custody and USD1.9trn in assets under management at the end of June, operates in 26 countries and more than 100 cities worldwide.
