Brazilian multi-strategy hedge fund major SPX Capital has appointed Predee Anuvatnujotikul, a former trader at Goldman Sachs Group, as a Portfolio Manager based in the firm’s Singapore office, according to a report by Bloomberg.

The report cites unnamed people familiar with the matter as confirming that Anuvatnujotikul is expected to take up his new role around the middle of the year and focus on currencies and rates trading for Asian and some other developed economies.

SPX Capital, which was founded in 2010 in Rio de Janeiro by Rogerio Xavier, Daniel Schneider and Bruno Pandolfi, is one of Brazil’s biggest hedge fund firms with around $12bn in assets.
