Citi has announced the appointments of Christopher Greer, Sean McGinty and Norman Escoffery to senior roles in its Americas prime finance business, hires that the group says underscore its commitment to the continued development and strengthening of the business.

Greer will become head of prime finance sales, with responsibility for business development and capital introductions. McGinty will be head of product development, focusing on adding capabilities and services to Citi’s suite of prime finance offerings. Escoffery will be head of client-facing technology, focused on enhancing trading, reporting, stock borrowing and other technology functions.

‘Chris, Sean and Norman have more than 40 years of combined experience in their respective areas of expertise and will help us continue to enlarge and strengthen our prime finance business,’ said Alan Pace, head of prime finance for the Americas. 

Greer joins Citi from Forest Investment Management, where he was head of business development and investor relations, following spells with Promethean Investment Group and Stark Investments. McGinty joins Citi from Lehman Brothers, where he was global head of financing product management, while Escoffery was head of client-facing technology at Lehman.

Citi’s institutional clients group is active in corporate and investment banking, sales and trading, transaction services and alternative investments.
