CFA Institute and the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management Research Centre are extending their partnership in executive education events to include an annual course on alternative investment.

The course, aimed at senior investment professionals, will take place on 17-19 March in London and will provide an in-depth understanding of the tools needed to maximise the benefits of alternative investments in multi-style and multi-class portfolios.

The newly introduced Alternative Asset Allocation Seminar presents advanced techniques to optimise asset allocation and risk management when alternative assets, such as real estate, commodities, private equity, hedge funds, or emerging categories like infrastructure and volatility, are added to institutional portfolios.

It will also address key factors in the current market climate, such as how to add value while controlling for market, liquidity, and operational risks.

Leading the seminar will be instructors who combine academic expertise with industry experience.

Nitin Mehta, CFA Institute managing director for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, says: ‘CFA Institute continues to grow its executive education programme, offering investment professionals an insight into the latest innovations and best practices in investment management through active learning. In these changing times, continuing to educate oneself is the best investment that can be made. We are delighted to join with EDHEC Business School to add to our extensive programme of executive courses available in Europe.’
