Andrew Carney, Chief Investment Officer of Volatility, and Mark Zeldis, Chief Technology Officer at New York-headquartered, multi-manager hedge fund firm Walleye Capital, will retire from the firm, according to a report by Business Insider.
The report cites an investor update in revealing the departures, with both set to remain in post during a transition period.
Zeldis and Carney have been with Walleye since its inception as an options market-making shop in Minnesota in 2005, and were both promoted to Partner in 2015.
The firm first started managing external capital in 2017 and has now developed into a multi-manager hedge fund firm managing $5.7bn in capital across a range of trading strategies.
The departures of Carmel and Zedis mark the latest round of personnel changes at Walleye with the firm having recently appointed a new Head of Treasury, a new Head of Compliance and a new Chief People Officer. In addition, the firm parted company with 12 employees last month including its Head of EMEA and Head of Global Macro and Fixed Income.
