The new firm, called FBG, will initially focus on alternative investment firms.

Point Capital has named Kirk Johnson, a hedge fund technology veteran, to head FBG. He has over ten years of experience in IT, including the last eight years in the hedge fund industry. "We’ve tasked Kirk to emulate what he did at Stadia Capital and provide that as a service for the entire industry."

FBG provides advisory services including technology services, business level consulting and software development.
