eFront has launched FrontPM, a set of portfolio monitoring and analysis capabilities that aims to streamline and automate the gathering of portfolio company data and enable sophisticated performance analysis and reporting.
Investment managers will be able to dedicate more time to portfolio analysis and more quickly perform tasks such as responding to investor inquiries and generating quarterly reports. They will produce more accurate reports and streamline the portfolio company valuation process while spending less time troubleshooting and auditing their analyses.
Managers can enable their investors to easily receive and incorporate FrontPM output by generating AltExchange documents, the industry standard for sharing private equity investment information.
“eFront has a rich history of innovating and bringing exciting new products to the market. FrontPM is wonderful example of this,” says Olivier Dellenbach, CEO at eFront. “The private equity and alternative investment community has long needed a product to solve the challenges related to portfolio monitoring and portfolio company reporting. Clients are already transitioning their current portfolio monitoring processes to FrontPM from disparate spreadsheets.”
Many managers are forced to link or paste figures across differently formatted spreadsheets due to a lack of a centralised data source. This frequently leads to problems with data quality, accuracy, and information reconciliation.
FrontPM was designed from scratch to streamline or replace these labour-intensive and error-prone tasks. The product automates the collection of data in a single database with a configurable calculation engine to facilitate the analysis of both standard and custom performance metrics.
FrontPM’s deep integration with Microsoft Excel enables professionals to continue using Excel while enhancing auditability. FrontPM-built Excel reports provide full calculation and source traceability with a single click. FrontPM can be used as a standalone solution, deployed on premise or hosted in the cloud.
