ChartIQ and Adaptive showcase the future of HTML5 for institutional trading

Related Topics

ChartIQ, a specialist in HTML5 financial charting, and Adaptive, an institutional front office software development consultancy, have launched a new integration via OpenFin, demonstrating the future of integrated HTML5 software for capital markets.

As banks look to replace or enhance legacy systems they are turning to HTML5 for rapid development of front office systems. Unfortunately, these applications are too often locked inside a browser, and don’t offer the seamless experience users expect from integrated market data terminals or trading applications. OpenFin provides firms with a desktop runtime that allows HTML5, Java, .NET and C++ applications to work together, bridging old and new software.

“Firms come to Adaptive for bespoke real-time HTML5 front office technology. Partnering with ChartIQ and OpenFin allows us to build exactly what the client needs with a lower cost, faster time to market, and superior user experience,” says Matt Barrett (pictured), co-founder and Director at Adaptive.

Adaptive’s Reactive Trader is a demonstration FX trading platform and ChartIQ is a professional-grade technical charting platform. This new integration showcases how firms can choose best-of-breed technologies for each use case, and have them share context, market data, and user workflow.

“Front office systems are all about efficient workflow. In the past, this required all-in-one terminals where each component may not be the best, but they all worked together,” says Dan Schleifer, co-founder and CEO of ChartIQ. “This new integration via OpenFin proves that firms can pick the best technology in each category, and still have an integrated experience.”

“Companies like Adaptive and ChartIQ have proven that HTML5 is ready for prime-time in the institutional market. Our goal in building OpenFin has been to provide the framework for these best-in-class technologies to work with each other, as well as with legacy systems the banks rely on” said Mazy Dar, Co-Founder and CEO of OpenFin.

The integrated solution is available immediately for firms that want to see the future of HTML5. Clients can contact either firm for a live demonstration.
