Asset Risk Consultants (ARC) has appointed Paul Meader, an experienced portfolio manager, to launch the firm’s new fund solutions division.
ARC has been providing risk management reporting to trustees and institutions for almost 20 years and the appointment of Meader (pictured) strengthens the company’s offering in the funds sector.
Changes to international regulations, such as the EU Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), have heightened the need for sophisticated and independent analytics of investment performance.
Meader says: “The increasing requirements of governance and regulators on funds and their boards highlight the need to provide insightful and independent assistance to investment managers and fund directors. This is a challenging time to be a fund director and I am excited about joining ARC to help provide the solutions to knotty issues like AIFMD.”
Meader has 26 years’ experience in investment management, most recently at Corazon and Collins Stewart Wealth Management. He is also a former chairman of the Guernsey International Business Association.
Graham Harrison, group managing director of ARC, says: “Paul has huge breadth and depth of experience of capital markets and is the ideal individual to develop and build our fund solutions business. ARC has a proven track record of transforming information into knowledge for trustees and private clients. In a world where more certainty is required to underpin investment decision making in offshore funds, ARC’s experience is unique and our move, spearheaded by Paul, into the funds’ arena is timely.”
