Hedge fund manager Aspect Capital Limited is looking to further strengthen its management team with the appointment of a Chief Operating Officer. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Director of trading Robert Wakefield, who joined the company in 2000, has been promoted to the position of COO and given responsibility for dealing, operations and IT across the company. Over the past five years, he has been responsible for building Aspect's first-class trading and operations capabilities.
Prior to joining Aspect, Wakefield spent six years working for Tullett & Tokyo in London and New York on their institutional Futures and Options sales desk from 1993 to 1999, and then for ED&F Man International from 1999 to 2000.
