SANNE, a provider of alternative asset and corporate business services, has appointed a new director and head of business development for Mauritius and India. The move comes following SANNE’s announcement last year to expand the business and open an office in Mumbai, India.

Based in SANNE’s Mauritius office, Varounen Goinden will have a key role in developing and driving the business development strategy for Mauritius and India while continuing to deliver on SANNE’s expansion strategy in the region by generating new business leads and growing the brand.

With more than 12 years’ of industry experience, Goinden joins SANNE from the Juristax Group, where he was responsible for overseeing a sizeable portfolio of regulated entities whilst leading the African expansion strategy of the Group. Prior to this he gained valuable experience at SGG in Mauritius. Goinden is an expert in the industry and is no stranger to the business having started his career at IFS as a graduate account executive in 2007.

Peter Nagle, Country Head – Mauritius, says: “Varounen’s fund and industry knowledge combined with a deep understanding of our products is a great addition to SANNE and its clients. His appointment coincides nicely with our India expansion strategy and provides the platform for our planned future growth and expansion into new markets. We look forward to Varounen’s contribution to our continued growth.”

Goinden adds: “I am delighted to be joining SANNE and am confident that I can support its continued growth, in line with the Mauritius and India expansion plans, while developing the business and its propositions to benefit our clients.”

Goinden will work closely with SANNE’s Head of Business Development – India, Khushboo Chopra, the Product Development Directors, and SANNE’s regional Managing Directors.
