The Managed Funds Association (MFA), the trade association for the hedge fund and global alternative investment industry, has announced initial keynotes at MFA Network 2021.

Registration is now open for the event, a business development and networking conference for the hedge fund and alternative investment industry, which will be held virtually on 19-21 January, 2021.

MFA Network keynotes will include:

Cliff Asness, Managing and Founding Partner, AQR Capital Management
Afsaneh Beschloss, Founder and CEO, RockCreek
David M Rubenstein, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Chairman, The Carlyle Group

Hailed as one of the leading networking events for the alternative investment industry, MFA Network brings together hundreds of top global allocators, fund managers, and leading industry service providers for one-on-one meetings, educational programming, and investor-led roundtable discussions. The conference provides manager suites, a balanced allocator to manager ratio, top institutional pension and endowment consultants, and a focus on emerging business issues and trends that are critical to allocators and fund managers across all strategies. MFA Network 2021 will feature a dedicated virtual concierge service to facilitate meetings for event participants across the platform.

“Deep relationships between fund managers, their investors, and service providers are more important than ever, and MFA is proud to bring our industry together for a robust exchange of information and ideas. We are pleased to host Network 2021 virtually, prioritising safety and convenience, while using our best in class platform to preserve the ability to connect and educate for which MFA’s annual events are known,” says Bryan Corbett, President & CEO of MFA.

The event will feature hundreds of leading institutional allocators, representing over USD1 trillion of investable capital. To date, allocators that are advising on the program development, many of whom will participate as part of the speaking faculty, include APG Asset Management, Aon, California State Teachers’ Retirement System, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Eli Lilly and Company, Employees Retirement System of Texas, General Electric, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System, State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Teachers Retirement System of Texas, Textron Inc., University of Chicago, and 3M Company. Investment consultants attending include Cliffwater, Fund Evaluation Group, and Meketa.

“MFA has hosted five major virtual events with record attendance this year. MFA Legal & Compliance, MFA Data, MFA Forum: The Investor Sessions, MFA Outlook, and MFA Global Summit conferences featured a combined 255 speakers and 1,785 attendees. We look forward to enjoying similar success at Network 2021, as we connect professionals across the global alternative investment industry,” says Corbett.

Fund managers, allocators, and service providers can register for MFA Network 2021 here. As always, MFA member firms receive a significant discount to the event.
