The Stamford, Connecticut-based hedge fund firm is looking for an Academy Alternative Data Specialist based in New York within its Investment Professional Development (IPD) team. The salary range for the role is a flat $300k, while the maximum on offer for another vacant Point72 role as a general quantitative researcher is ‘only’ $200k.

According to the job description, the successful applicant will “create, curate and teach compliance approved data curriculum” while becoming “the go-to tech resource for data and application-related questions on the IPD team.”

Point72 says over 140 graduates have so far successfully come through the IPD scheme to take up analyst positions, with 60% of scheme graduates still working for the firm today.
