JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed interest rates expert Priya Misra as a managing director and portfolio manager on the Core Plus team in the firm’s Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities business. Misra, who will report to Kay Herr, head of research and incoming US chief investment officer for GFICC, will take up her new role in August.
JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed interest rates expert Priya Misra as a managing director and portfolio manager on the Core Plus team in the firm’s Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities (GFICC) business. Misra, who will report to Kay Herr, head of research and incoming US chief investment officer for GFICC, will take up her new role in August.
Misra joins JP Morgan from TD Securities, where she most recently served as head of global rates research. In this role she was responsible for macro calls on the US and global interest rate markets, providing investment advice to clients, publishing regular research on interest rates, and managing a model portfolio.
JP Morgan’s GFICC team has seen $23 billion in net inflows to date this year and has over $700 billion in assets under management, as of the end of March, 2023.
Prior to TD Securities, Misra was Head of US Rates Research at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. She also held research roles at Nomura, Barclays Capital, and Lehman.
