The Dow Jones Credit Suisse Core Hedge Fund Index closed up 2.26% in January as all of the component strategies reported positive results.
The Dow Jones Credit Suisse Core Hedge Fund Index provides daily published index values which enable investors to track the impact of market events on the hedge fund industry.
Convertible Arbitrage proved the top performer returning 3.47%, closely followed by Long/Short Equity (3.21%). At the other end of the scale, Fixed Income Arbitrage (0.93%) and Managed Futures (0.95%) recorded the smallest increases.
