Ken Griffin’s multi-strategy major Citadel has recruited Georgios Kotsalis, a former Applied Scientist in Amazon’s core AI team as a Quantitative Researcher based in the firm’s office in New York, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
The exact remit of Kotsalis’s new role has not been made clear, though it is not believed to involve AI.
Kotsalis joined Amazon in August 2022, having undertaken a four-month internship with the business in 2021.
