Equity Data Science (EDS) has unveiled Fusion, a new generative AI-powered platform aimed at transforming and streamlining how institutional investors manage data and decision-making across the investment lifecycle.
Announced on Tuesday, the launch of Fusion is in partnership with AI firm LinqAlpha and introduces a suite of generative AI capabilities tailored for investment professionals. The platform enables natural language analysis of complex datasets – including regulatory filings, earnings transcripts, news reports, analyst commentary, and internal notes—integrated into a seamless workflow.
Fusion synthesises both structured and unstructured data, helping portfolio managers, analysts, and risk teams extract insights faster and improve productivity. It follows the rollout of EDS’s Nexus platform earlier this year, which applied AI to risk analysis, portfolio optimisation, and performance attribution.
Key capabilities of Fusion include automated tagging, classification, contextual analysis through knowledge graphs, and natural language query functionality. The system is designed to help asset managers increase “idea velocity” while ensuring compliance standards are met with audit-ready outputs.
“We’re thrilled to partner with LinqAlpha to launch Fusion, a major leap forward in empowering institutional investors with generative AI,” said Sandeep Varma, CEO and Co-Founder of EDS. “Our flexible architecture supports seamless integration with any software partner, reinforcing our commitment to customised, cutting-edge solutions.”
