Peter Martin, the former CEO of Odey Asset Management, the hedge fund firm that began closing in October 2023 following sexual harassment allegations against founder Crispin Odey, has joined boutique investment firm Oberon Investments Group, according to a report by FT Advisor.
Martin has more than four decades of experience in investment management and has also held senior positions at Rothschild Private Bank, JP Morgan and Fleming Private Asset Management.
Martin, who is due to launch a new global equities fund at Oberon, is joined by former Odey colleague, Jake Bambridge, who takes on the role of Funds Operations Manager. He previously served as Operations Manager at Odey Wealth Management where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of a high-net-worth private client business managing over £650 million in assets under management.
Oberon said the appointments will help it expand its platform into new institutional markets.
