Brevan Howard Asset Management, the $34bn global macro hedge fund, has hired Rajesh Venkataramani, a former partner at Goldman Sachs, for a senior investment position, according to a report by Bloomberg citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
Venkataramani, who joined Goldman in 2000 and became partner in 2014, led the bank’s global FX options and G10 FX trading desks from London. His appointment comes as Brevan Howard seeks to bolster its macro trading expertise.
Year-to-date through September, the Brevan Howard Alpha Strategies Fund returned 6.56%, while the master fund gained 0.26%, according to investor documents.
