Major multi-strategy hedge funds firms are continuing to expand their technology capabilities, with both Millennium Management and Citadel adding senior engineering talent in New York, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Millennium has hired Prasanni Thati, formerly an engineering manager in Citadel Securities’ principal strategies group, as global head of volatility arbitrage technology. Thati, who left Citadel Securities in late 2024, joins after a year on gardening leave and will lead technology build-out for Millennium’s volatility-driven trading teams.
Citadel, meanwhile, has recruited Adi Lutvich to its New York engineering organisation, where he will focus on cloud architecture. Lutvich joins from Google, where he spent six years and most recently served as a principal architect within the financial services unit. He previously worked at Amazon as a solutions architect.
