Angel Oak Capital Advisors, an investment management firm focused on opportunistic fixed income investment solutions, ahas hired Manish Valecha (pictured), CFA, as its Head of Institutional Alternatives.
This appointment reflects Angel Oak Capital’s efforts to broaden its institutional investor outreach and support the continued growth of its alternative strategies.
Valecha will lead Angel Oak Capital’s efforts in the institutional investor marketplace with pensions, consultants, endowments, foundations and family offices. He will primarily focus on marketing, product development and institutional due diligence.
Prior to joining Angel Oak Capital, Valecha was the Head of Research at Gapstow Capital Partners, a USD1 billion credit-focused investment manager investing in hedge funds, private equity funds, collateral loan obligations and community banks. He was responsible for managing investment strategy, research and due diligence. Prior to joining Gapstow, Valecha was a Vice President at BlackRock, where he was responsible for manager research across hedge funds, fund of hedge funds and traditional long-only products. Previously, he worked at Barclays Global Investors, Ziff Brothers Investments and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
