Aubrey Capital Management has appointed Andrew Ward as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
Ward worked at First State Investments for over six years, initially as part of the EMEA Distribution team before being promoted to Head of the Stewart Investors Institutional Client Team (a separate division of the firm). His final appointment at the firm was to Chief of Staff, where he worked with the CEO across all aspects of the business including strategy, planning, coordination and communications.
From 1992 to 2012, Ward served as an Officer in the British Army and saw active service in locations around the globe, interspersed with policy and planning roles in the Ministry of Defence and the Army’s Headquarters.
Ward is a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University where he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Cranfield University where he obtained a master’s degree in Defence Technology. He also holds the CFA UK Level 4 Certificate in Investment Management.
