AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Francisco Arcilla as director of product development for AXA Rosenberg, tasked with broadening the existing systematic equity offering to drive future AXA IM growth.
Arcilla will be replaced by Eric Lhomond who will head the fund of hedge funds and impact and thematic investing teams, on top of developing a new alternative credit offering dedicated to third-party clients.
In addition, AXA IM has appointed Daniel Leon as head of client solutions development to strengthen AXA IM’s capacity to answer the needs of sophisticated clients with tailor-made solutions. Leon will work closely with both the client group and all manufacturing expertise.
Jeremy Baskin, chief executive of AXA Rosenberg, AXA IM, says: “Francisco has contributed significantly to AXA IM over the past three years: he has been instrumental in ensuring the external managers group has adapted to the ever changing regulatory landscape, and importantly through difficult market conditions has ensured the delivery of strong investment performance.
“Francisco will play a critical role in ensuring AXA Rosenberg plays a strategic role in driving AXA IM’s future growth. He will be responsible for defining and cultivating the re-launch of AXA Rosenberg’s long/short capabilities and exploring other opportunities to broaden AXA Rosenberg’s offering. We look forward to welcoming him to AXA Rosenberg at this exciting stage in our growth.”
Lhomond joins on 1 November from AXA UK where he is currently the chief investment officer. He will report to Julien Fourtou, global head of MACS. He has been with AXA Group since 1999 during which time he has occupied a number of key positions including head of the hedging programme management activity of AXA Equitable in the US.
