While the big multi-strategy hedge funds such as Citadel and Millennium are making headlines with their high-profile recruitment drives, smaller funds are adding staff too, with London-based Bell Rock Capital among those making multiple hires this year.
The firm has bolstered its 50-strong team in London with the addition of André Leue – a former senior partner and head of public investments at the world’s largest charity the Novbo Norsisk Foundations – as a portfolio manager in global healthcare equities, and Jeff Largey as senior analyst focusing on global metals and mining. Before joining Bell Rock, Largey spent just under eight years at Goldman Sachs in London, most recently as an executive director on the European midcaps sales & trading desk.
This year’s more junior arrivals include Benjamin Lyons and Freddie Dakin as equity analysts, former associates in Credit Suisse’s research team and KPMG’s M&A arm respectively.
