Black Diamond Capital Management appoints Todd Arden as Senior MD and Co-Chief Credit Officer

Alternative asset management firm Black Diamond Capital Management has appointed Todd Arden as Senior Managing Director and Co-Chief Credit Officer.  

Arden will have responsibility for co-managing Black Diamond's underwriting processes and credit exposures and will also source stressed and distressed investment opportunities for Black Diamond's funds. Hw will be based in Black Diamond's Greenwich, Connecticut office.

Arden has over twenty years of experience in the credit and distressed investing field. Most recently, he worked at CCMP Capital, where he served as Chief Investment Officer for Octagon Credit Opportunities, LLC. Prior to CCMP, he was a Managing Director within the distressed securities group at Angelo, Gordon & Co. In this capacity, Arden was responsible for investing in multinational corporate restructurings. During his tenure at Angelo, Gordon, he served on five company boards as the major shareholder post-restructuring. Prior to joining Angelo, Gordon in 2000, he was a Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst in AIG/SunAmerica's High Yield Group.  Earlier in his career, Arden was a Senior Equity Analyst at Troubh Partners, and a Manager in Arthur Andersen & Co’s Financial Consulting Services practice, focusing in the distressed/litigation support area. Arden received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Northwestern University and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
