Brevan Howard adds in-house talent scout to team

Hedge fund Brevan Howard has added another in-house talent scout as it continues its London recruitment drive, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.

New recruit Harry Simons, a former headhunter at Heidrick & Struggles, has been given a mandate to hire portfolio managers across global macro. He will reportedly be working alongside other recruitment focused staff including head of business development Tim Williams, who joined the firm in 2019 to recruit portfolio managers across Europe, and Angela Tovey-Stewart who joined in May 2022, with a remit to fill non-PM roles in London.

Brevan Howard which, according to its website, now employs around 400 people globally, is making a move into both liquid credit and systematic trading having historically focused on a global macro strategy. The firm’s assets under management are reported to have risen to $23 billion currently, up from $22 billion in May.
