Brevan Howard has become the latest hedge fund to turn to the banking sector in its search for senior tech staff with the appointment of Mike Sanders from JPMorgan as its new Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in London, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Sanders spent over five years at JPMorgan, where he served as Managing Director and Global Head of Macro Technology from 2019, before taking on the role of EMEA Chief Information Officer in 2021.
Prior to JPMorgan, he spent a decade at Citi as MD and Global Head of FX Technology.
Sanders is the latest high-level tech recruit at JPMorgan following the appointment of Subhek Garg, a former Goldman Sachs MD, as CTO for the bank’s US operations. Sanders replaces Kevin Gage, the former CIO of Mizuho, who has since left the firm.
