Catalyst Funds, an alternative-focused mutual fund company, has added three new members to its team, and made one internal promotion.
Dustin Tait, who previously served as regional investment consultant, has been promoted to external wholesaler and will be based out of Nashville. In this new role, he will cover Tennessee and West Virginia. Tait worked in various investment consulting roles for JP Morgan before joining Catalyst.
The new additions to Catalyst’s team include one new hire to the wholesaling team and two new positions in the marketing department.
Joseph McCart, who serves as an internal wholesaler covering Michigan and Illinois, was previously vice president of Investments for both World Equity Group and Janney Montgomery Scott.
Frank Benassi, who joins Catalyst’s marketing team as a content manager, previously worked as a senior investment writer at Principal Global Investors. He also spent time at Schroders Investment Management, TIAA, American Century Investments and Standard & Poor’s.
Jacob Lacks, who joins Catalyst as an analyst supporting the marketing and investment teams, joins the team after two full summers as an intern with Catalyst.
“These new additions and promotion are integral to Catalyst’s continued growth.” says Jerry Szilagyi (pictured), CEO of Catalyst Funds. “As our family of funds expands, these team members will play an important role in supporting our commitment to our investors.”
