The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has announced an anticipated publication schedule for reports delayed by the recent US government shutdown.
The CFTC will begin issuing its weekly Commitments of Traders (COT) reports on a rolling basis as soon as they are ready – with the first report being published on 25 October. If not for the shutdown, this report would have been published on 4 October.
The CFTC expects to release two more of the delayed COT reports during the week of 28 October and at least two more of the delayed COT reports during the week of 4 November.
The CFTC expects that it will resume its previously announced COT report schedule by the 8 November release date.
The Cotton-on-Call reports that have been delayed will also be released on a rolling schedule as they are ready. The CFTC expects that the release of the Cotton-on-Call reports will be back on schedule by the 7 November 2013 release date.
The Bank Participation Report originally scheduled for release on 4 October will be released on 25 October.
