CIBC announces appointments within fixed income, currencies and distribution team

CIBC has announced that Andre LaJeunesse has been appointed managing director and head of fixed income, currencies and distribution for its Asia region.

CIBC has announced that Andre LaJeunesse has been appointed managing director and head of fixed income, currencies and distribution for its Asia region.

LaJeunesse has 19 years’ experience in sales, trading and origination in Asia with a number of high profile global investment houses. He starts on 27 April and will report directly to Harry Culham, head of fixed income, currencies and distribution, and locally to Warren Gilman, managing director and head of Asia Pacific region.

Duncan Rule will join the firm on 27 April as managing director and head of FX trading. He joins the firm from a major international investment bank where he has led several capital markets rates and foreign exchange businesses. He will be relocating from London to Toronto for the role, and will report to Culham.

As part of their new roles, LaJeunesse and Rule will be members of the fixed income, currencies and distribution operating committee.
