Multi-strategy hedge fund major Citadel has appointed Goldman Sachs’s Chief Technology Officer Atte Lahtiranta to lead its core engineering group, which is responsible for the tech that underpins the firm’s trading and risk management functions, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Lahtiranta, joined Goldman in 2019, following the departure of then CTO Umesh Subramanian to join Citadel as its CTO, a position he still holds today.
Citadel has also recruited Goldman Sachs’s Ruslan Kharitonov as Head of Compute Engineering. Kharitonov was a technology fellow and Global Head of Network and Storage Software Engineering at the bank.
