San Francisco-based investment management law firm Cole-Frieman & Mallon (CFM) has appointed hedge fund lawyer Frank J Martin as partner and general counsel at the firm.
Martin’s practice focuses on business-oriented and practical advice stemming from his previous experience as general counsel and president of a multi-billion-dollar, multi-strategy, global hedge fund firm.
In addition to his work as a hedge fund general counsel and President, Martin also served as a lecturer at UC Berkeley School of Law where he taught the course on structuring, advising, and regulating hedge funds. Alongside his investment management work, Martin has served as a senior executive, board chair, and general counsel to non-profit and social impact organisations Berkeley Law’s East Bay Community Law Center.
