Rinaldi (pictured) joined the firm on 9 March 2009 and will assume the role of chief compliance officer later in the second quarter.
‘Dawn is a strategic addition to the C.P. Eaton team,’ chief executive and founder Charlie Eaton says. ‘Her experience in risk management and industry best practices will be extremely useful during a time when investors are demanding more credibility and transparency from funds. Dawn will coordinate the operations of our four offices as we continue to grow in our core North American, European and Asian regions.’
‘I am pleased to join C.P. Eaton’s deep team of experienced placement agents,’ Rinaldi says. ‘I look forward to extending the company’s lengthy track record as a premiere institutional fundraising resource for private equity, real estate and hedge funds.’
Rinaldi has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services. As the chief financial officer at the USD5.8bn Platinum Grove Asset Management, she was responsible for institutionalising its platform and procedures with respect to accounting, valuation and operational matters as well as co-managing credit relationships and related liquidity.
Previously, she was part of the initial management team of Five Mile Capital Partners where she served as managing director, controller and chief compliance officer and led the creation of operating, finance, valuation, investor reporting and compliance protocols for what became a USD1.3bn multi-fund advisor during her tenure.
Rinaldi also spent more than ten years at Greenwich Capital Markets as a vice president and assistant vice president working with risk control, regulatory reporting, accounting and operations. She began her career as a senior accountant at Coopers & Lybrand.
