London-based quant hedge fund firm Qube Research & Technologies has added Zohar Melamed, formerly Chief Engineer for Wealth Management at Credit Suisse, to its team, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Melamed’s exact responsibilities at Qube have not been specified, with the one-time video games developer posting on his LinkedIn page that, in his new position, “inevitably” he “will be getting some stuff done”.
Melamed spent almost 14 and a half years at Credit Suisse, originally joining the bank in 2009 before being promoted to Managing Director – Head of Architecture & Strategy APAC, based in Hong Kong in August 2016, and then taking on his Chief Engineer Wealth Management role in London in May 2022.
Prior to Credit Suisse, Melamed worked at UBS, managing developers in front and middle office equity derivatives.
