Davidson Kempner Capital Management (Davidson Kempner), a global investment management firm with more than $38 billion in assets under management, is partnering with CAIS, an alternative investment platform for independent financial advisors, to provide access to certain alternative investment strategies via the CAIS Platform, including multi-strategy and opportunistic.
The announcement coincides with public market assets generating some of the lowest annual performances for the 60/40 portfolio in the last 20 years.
With investors increasingly turning to alternatives to provide a strong hedge against inflation, which rose even further in August, a CAIS-led survey of financial professionals in 2022 found that 84% of advisors are recommending alternative allocation to clients who meet accredited investor requirements.
