Dillon Eustace has expanded its global practice with the senior hire of Jonathan Law to its Cayman office and the addition of Fionnán Gannon to its Dublin office.
Law joins the funds and corporate team in Cayman as partner, and brings with him over 10 years of Cayman law expertise.
Gannon has moved from the Irish Stock Exchange, where he was previously a senior regulation executive, to join Dillon Eustace’s listing department.
Having started his career at Dundas & Wilson in Edinburgh, Law subsequently joined Clifford Chance in London, and has experience in Cayman as partner at another firm. Prior to moving to Cayman in 2004, he worked with one of the leading firms in Bermuda. Law has acted on behalf of institutional investors in relation to the establishment, operation, re-structuring of, and participation in, all types of offshore fund structures.
Gannon will begin his new role in mid-October. Having spent seven years with the Irish Stock Exchange, he was previously a listing advisor in the funds sector. In recent years, he undertook the role of regulation executive, covering both debt and funds listing.
Mark Thorne, managing partner of Dillon Eustace, says: “We are pleased to welcome Jonathan and Fionnán to our team. Both hires reflect the impressive growth of our Cayman and Dublin offices’ respective client bases, and will complement our existing expertise. Jonathan has considerable experience advising a broad range of clients from fund managers and sponsors to administrators, brokers and custodians.
“Fionnán has first-hand experience of a leading international stock exchange, and his expertise will be of considerable benefit to the team. These appointments will prove great assets in the delivery of the exceptional legal and corporate services we provide to our Cayman clients.”
