The Dow Jones Credit Suisse Hedge Fund Index finished down 0.22% for the month of December.
Long/short equity was the worst performer of the 10 sub-strategies, down 0.88 per cent, followed by event driven (-0.81%) and managed futures (-0.79%).
Dedicated short bias meanwhile provided the best returns, up 1.65%, while managed futures (+0.79%), convertible arbitrage (+0.62%), Global Macro (+0.43%), Fixed income arbitrage (+38%) and multi-strategy (+0.14%) were also all in positive territory.
Performance for the Broad Index and its 10 sub-strategies is calculated monthly.
