Exchange Data International (EDI) Global Market and Public Holidays service has expanded to include provinces, regions and city-based holidays.

Holiday data information is delivered via the EDI web platform, SFTP files and API.

Subscribers of the online service can easily view holidays for the current month with the calendar view and set up daily email alerts to receive up-to-date information.

With holiday observances for the next 30 years and historical data from 2001, the service covers over 2500 institutions, including Exchange & Trading Venues, Exchange Clearing, Banks, Bank Clearing, and Country Currency. In addition, the service includes the USA and Canada Bond Market Holidays, Bell to Bell hours, and additional trading days.

Global Market and Public Holiday service save crucial time and money spent monitoring Global Market and Public Holidays and their impact on trading services. EDI’s PUBHOL data feed allows users to plan and undertake trading and settlement transactions. The data can be loaded into internal systems that allow trading and settlement engines to complete transactions accurately, while firms can automatically calculate the next trading day after any institutional holiday using the detailed settlement and institution notes.
