The shareholders of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) have elected a new Supervisory Board.
The new EEX Supervisory Board is composed as follows: Dr Dirk Biermann, Managing Director, 50Hertz Transmission GmbH; Heike Eckert, Member of the Management Board, Eurex Clearing AG; Dr Nigel Hawkins, Head of Power & Fuel Portfolio Management, Enel Trade SpA; Peter Heydecker, Executive Director Trading, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG; Burkhard Jung, Mayor of the City of Leipzig; Dr Jürgen Kroneberg, Lawyer; Xavier Lafontaine, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Electricité de France SA; Michael Lockett, Director of Power Dispatch & Real-Time Trading, Uniper Global Commodities SE; Dr Hartmut Mangold, State Secretary, Saxon State Ministry for Economics, Labour and Transport; Katja Mayer, Managing Partner, KM Networks GmbH; Professor Harald R Pfab, Managing Director, HHP Beratung GmbH; Andreas Preuß, Vice-Chairman, Deutsche Börse AG; Dr Michael Redanz, Managing Director, EWE Trading GmbH; Hans E Schweickardt, Chairman of the Board, Polenergia Holding; Uwe Schweickert, Managing Director Market Operations & Executive Office, Deutsche Börse AG; Jürg Spillmann, Member of the Board, Eurex Zürich AG; Marco Steeg, Head of Financial Accounting & Controlling, Deutsche Börse AG; and Vincent van Lith, Executive Director European Head of Energy, ABN AMRO Bank N.V. In the subsequent constituent meeting of the new Supervisory Board, Dr Jürgen Kroneberg was re-elected as chairman, while Hans E Schweickardt, Jürg Spillmann and state secretary Dr Hartmut Mangold were elected as Deputy chairmen.
