Amir Fais, a former Goldman Sachs managing director and head of EMEA emerging markets rates trading who joined Eisler Capital as a macro and emerging market focused Portfolio Manager, in May, has left after just three months, according to a report by eFinancial careers.
The report claims that Fais has quit to move to Millennium Management, where he is expected to join a pod run by another former Goldman Sachs EM trader, Andres Ankers, alongside former Goldman Sachs executive director Damien McCaughley.
While high staff churn is not uncommon at multi-strategy hedge funds, Fais’ Eisler stay is unusually short, especially as he spent 15 years with Goldman Sachs.
