Rani Nazim, former co-head of European credit trading at Morgan Stanley, has re-entered the financial markets space after nearly two years away, taking on the role of Credit Portfolio Manager at hedge fund Verition Fund Management’s London office, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Nazim spent 19 years at Morgan Stanley, rising from a graduate analyst to managing director by age 33, navigating the firm’s global offices in Hong Kong, New York, and London. She left the bank at the end of 2023, having also pursued angel investing independently both during and after her tenure at Morgan Stanley.
Her move to Verition underscores a growing trend of experienced bankers transitioning into hedge funds, leveraging deep credit market expertise.
