James Rubinstein, formerly head of execution services at hedge fund ExodusPoint, has joined electronic market maker GTS Securities as a managing director, according to a report by eFinancialCareers. He is understood to have started in the New York-based role around two weeks ago.
GTS is a major participant in US equity markets, accounting for roughly 5% of daily cash equities trading volume, and also operates across fixed income markets.
Rubinstein was at UBS for nearly 13 years, where he served as head of algorithmic trading and analytics until 2018, before moving to Deutsche Bank for just over two years. He later held roles at BNP Paribas, Liquidnet and ExodusPoint.
