London-based crypto hedge fund Fasanara Digital, the $500m digital assets division of Fasanara Capital ($5.5bn AUM), is expanding its team with hires from major quantitative and hedge fund players, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Founder Nikita Fadeev, who launched Fasanara Digital at age 25 in 2021, has added Conor White, former head of technology for Citadel in Europe and Asia, as head of front office technology. Jerome Busca, a former Millennium portfolio manager, joined in April, while a mystery hire from Tower Research has joined as head of high-frequency trading.
The fund now employs 25 staff and plans to grow to 30 employees by Q1 2026, focusing on DeFi strategies, market-neutral yield opportunities, and on-chain automation, leveraging the resilience of decentralised protocols amid centralised exchange volatility.
Fadeev noted that Fasanara Digital’s systems performed strongly during the October crypto market crash, handling its highest trading volume to date and reinforcing its risk management capabilities.
