David Moran has joined the Stamford, Connecticut office of international law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP (Curtis) as counsel.
Moran, who was previously the founder, President and CEO of Dow Jones Indexes, will focus on corporate, media and investment management law practice. He has twenty years of experience as a lawyer in New York City, first as an associate at Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler, then as corporate attorney rising to Deputy General Counsel and Vice President at Dow Jones & Company.
Moran has represented clients in numerous transactions, supervised litigation around the world, negotiated collective bargaining agreements with labour unions, trained and supervised the work of many lawyers, and led teams of professionals in connection with acquisitions and other matters. He also has experience collaborating with tax, ERISA and accounting experts.
Moran graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law after earning his AB, cum laude, in Classics (Latin) from Harvard University.
