Former Goldman Sachs VP named head of governance at Brevan Howard

Former Goldman Sachs vice president Dan VanBeek has been appointed as the new head of governance, risk and compliance at Jersey-based macro and derivatives hedge fund Brevan Howard, according to a report by Financial News.

At Brevan Howard, VanBeek, who was appointed as vice president, information security officer at Goldman Sachs in January last year, will be responsible for implementing cyber policies and ensuring there is a standard structure for cyber management and risk management across the business, as well as embedding compliance throughout the firm’s infrastructure, and raising security awareness for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Prior to his time at Goldman Sachs, VanBeek served as the head of information security & technology at US-based, network automation software provider Itential, according to his LinkedIn profile.
